Kōtuku Rising
The kōtuku or White Heron is one of the most revered birds in my mind.
With utterly graceful presence, and grandness she sits calmly in the waterways demanding repsect.

In Māori mythology she is believed to be an inhabitant of the netherworld, with mythical status and a rare beauty.

The white heron rising for me represents the begginings of new, something sweet and beauty, noble and respected, a new rising.
